We are attending the EBOP e-Learning Conference in Whakatane on Monday and so I have spent a considerable amount of time setting up 12 ipads and 12 chromebooks. The ipad Air 2 are now loaded with apps that will be 'briefed' at the TOD and the chromebooks have a phantom school google account set up. Staff have been encouraged to sign in with their own account and utilise that on the day.
The next rather tedious task will be to recall the devices, set them up under a management system then roll them out for classes. Our ICT Manager will be in charge of that one. I have also thought about creating a google form (for staff) or rubric (for students) so that teachers and eventually their tamariki, can critically assess and evaluate the ipad apps.
