The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings. -- Eric Hoffer
I don't meant to do this, but know that I take my whanau for granted sometimes. I just assume they as my immediate family they will always be there, that time is on our side and we all cope with life.
I think I do this at times when I am not well. I also feel the demands of full time employment get the better of me and we all know the maintaining a balance between work and play is an absolute necessity.
Having said all of that perhaps it is not that I take my whanau for granted, but more that I take myself for granted and then everything else in my life 'falls by the wayside'. Note to self: Take time to smell the roses....I have once chance in life...make the most of it... NOW that's the key!
